Description

I thought that I'd try my hand at one of those Zombie Apocalypse Memes that are all the rage. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Basically, I figure that a Trans-Universal entity grabbed these guys from all of fiction, and dumped them together on one Zombified World.

Team Leader: I picked Griff, the swash-Buckling member of the London Clan from "Gargoyles". He's an experienced fighter, and an eternal optimist. King Arthur felt he was worthy of Knighthood, and as I see it, that makes him more than qualified to lead this team.

Second-In-Command: Because in a Zombie Apocalypse scenario, it would be foolish to not have a backup-leader. Even if you hope that he/she wouldn't ever have to take command. Will Vandom from "W.I.T.C.H." Already an experienced leader, who knows how to take advantage of the abilities of those under her command, Will also has the power of Quintessence, which would allow her to bring various pieces of tech to life. (Among other things) Plus, in a pinch, it also shoots lightning. Magic-Life giving Lightning.

Brains: In an unusual life-or death situation, there's no brainiac I'd want on my side. True, he's one of the most arrogant scientists in any work of fiction, but he's also one of the few where his arrogance is justified. Especially in crunch time. Put some pressure on him, and he'll come up with innovative solutions to your most unique problems. Dr. Rodney McKay from "Stargate SG-1/Atlantis/Universe".

Weapons Expert: Trained by Sportsmaster, and a member of the Team from Earth-16 (Young Justice) Artemis Crock is an expert archer, and pretty handy with most other weapons as well. I chose her "Artemis" identity, because while she's just as capable as "Tigress", the ranged weapons (her bow and arrows) would come in VERY handy during the apocalypse scenario.

Medic: Obviously, the most important role for surviving any apocalypse scenario. I picked a doctor with experience working on multiple species, one of the few with the intelligence to potentially create a cure to any apocalyptic plague. The Emergency Medical Hologram (Star Trek: Voyager) has one other advantage too; as a Hologram, he's not subject to Zombification.

Medic II: Like the leadership, not having a backup doctor would just be foolish. What if the EMH's mobile emitter got damaged? We hope for the best, but plan for the worst. Plus, Dr. Jennifer Keller (Stargate: Atlantis) is another one of those rare doctors who might figure out a cure for the Zombie Plague. She figured out how to mutate Wraith into humans, so undoing Zombies can't be too much harder, right?

Brawler: B'arzz O'oom, AKA, "Green Beetle" also from Earth(Mars)-16 (Young Justice) This guy basically combines the powers of Martian Manhunter with Blue Beetle. How could you not want a guy like that on your team? Obviously, I'd want him post-being-freed-from-Reach-Control, but pre-Black-Beetle-destroying-his-Scarab.

Mechanic: Almost went with Gadget Hackwrench, but Gadget's size was the clincher...She's just too small. The way I see it, if you can get a hunk of junk like the "Serenity" to work, then Kaywinnet Lee "Kaylee" Frye (Firefly/Serentity) can get anything to work. Would it be confusing to have two Jewel Staite characters around? Probably, but as I see it, that's McKay's problem, not mine.

Mascot: Dumb category...But as I see it a Useful Mascot is the way to go, if you have to. Blunk (W.I.T.C.H.) is experience living in wastelands, and scrounging for goods. Plus, as an experienced trader, he could help trade with other groups of fictional survivors that were randomly sucked into my scenario. As long as everyone got used to the smell, Blunk would be quite useful.

Guy WHO Dies First: Let's face it...In any apocalypse scenario, there are going to be casualties. I think I've picked a team that would survive longer than most...But if we HAVE to have a redshirt...Why not the guy who will be certain to come back again? The Doctor would regenerate after being killed...Giving my team access to his skills and knowledge once again. Not to mention that he can put his experience and brains together with the EMH and Keller. Between the three of them, the Zombie Plague doesn't stand a chance.

Others: Peter Parker/Spider-man from the "Spectacular Spider-man", Harry Dresden, from "The Dresden Files", Tobias Fangor from "Animorphs", Reepicheep the Mouse from "The Chronicles of Narnia", Katniss Everdeen from "The Hunger Games", Quiverwing Duck from "Darkwing Duck" (BOOM Comics), Tars Tarkas from "John Carter of Mars", Katara from "Avatar: The Last Airbender", and Rain Cacique "Rain of the Ghosts" (Granted my knowledge of that final character is limited, since "Rain of the Ghosts" isn't out yet...But I can't help being a Greg Weisman fanboy.) Were all runners up, (Because I didn't have room for them on this meme generator) and as far as I'm concerned, are backup, running interference, and helping to support my survivor-cell during this scenario. Pete could even contribute to my aforementioned "Cure Think-Tank".

So...This was my first attempt at one of these...What do people think? Do we stand a chance?

Wait. Two Jewel Staites? The universe can't handle that much heat.
